To use a nannicam or not?

I am often asked the question, 'Is it a good idea to use a nannicam or not?' This is a topic that can be hotly debated as some people feel that the use of a camera to record people is an infringement on their privacy. Others argue that it is better to use the technology at hand to monitor your childs safety and caregiver. It all boils down to personal choice at the end of the day. However if you do chose to have a camera in the home it is often better to let your caregiver know that there is surveillance.

Foscam has a fantastic camera to monitor your baby called the Fosbaby. The Fosbaby baby monitor has a number of great features which will help you keep in contact with your family when you are away from home. Fosbaby has an easy plug and play setup, to easily configure the camera to your wireless network. An app on your smartphone or browser can be used to view live video feed so that you can see exactly what is happening in your absence.

Supported with an SD card slot to record footage to, the camera can be activated by motion detection and can also send temperature alerts via email or sms.

The Fosbaby has just about every feature you will need. The Fosbaby gives you high definition images and has night time infrared vision, so you will have no problems receiving very clear images of your baby or children, regardless of the time of day or night.

One of the great features of the Fosbaby is that it also comes with pre-installed lullabies, which you can turn on remotely.

The Fosbaby is one of the few nannicams that comes with an inbuilt temperature sensor. Some parents are not concerned about having a temperature sensor, we do not recommend a specific ambient temperature that is best for all babies. That being said, it is always good to know if the temperature is too high or too low in the nursery, so at least you can do something about it if it becomes a problem.

Available in a variety of soft colours, you can either choose baby blue or beautiful girly pink for your Fosbaby IP camera.

Please call us at Foscam for any queries and advice on our Fosbaby cameras or visit the website for further info on the product.
