Old and young enjoy the Pumakie Rugby and Netball day

The annual Pumakie Rugby and Netball day that has been hosted by Laerskool Barberton Primary last Saturday, was once again a huge success. Not only is it fun to watch the young upcoming sport starts play, but keeping an eye on the spectators next to the rugby field and netball courts, is a spectacle in itself.

This day is organized for the gr R, 1, 2 and 3 pupils and the main aim is to just have fun while learning new skills and the rules of the game. Of cause you do get those special parents who just wants their child to shine, so there is no shortage of support.

Schools participating in the netball was Barberton Daisies, Barberton Nursery School, Hop, Skip and Jump and Kleutervriend which are all nursery schools. Primary schools attending was Lydenburg, Nelspruit, Komatipoort, Badplaas, Barberton, White River, Laeveld and Oikos.

Schools participating in the rugby was Hop, Skip and Jump, and the primary schools of Lydenburg, Nelspruit, Badplaas, Barberton, Komatipoort, White River and Laeveld.
