The station commander of Riviersonderend SAPS, Capt Dube, recently spoke with Rivier Rekord and emphasised the importance of safety throughout the holiday season.

Looking forward to the New Year, he encouraged the community to embrace fresh beginnings and work together to create a more secure and vibrant Riviersonderend.

Capt Dube stressed the need to exercise vigilance and responsible behaviour, particularly on the roads during the festive season, by avoiding drinking and driving to ensure the well-being of both the driver and passengers, as well as fellow road users.

He also expressed his gratitude to the dedicated police staff for their commitment to Riviersonderend's well-being throughout the year.

In conclusion, Dube extended warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope and promise. His message to the community was clear: "Stay protected, stay blessed, and have a wonderful holiday season. Together, we can make Riviersonderend a stronger and better place for all."
