Posted in News & Current Affairs by Admin on 7 July, 2020 at 3:15 p.m.

TONGA - SAPS advised the public today that the Tonga Police Station will be temporarily closed due to one of its members having tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus yesterday.

The telephone lines at the police station’s Community Service Centre will not be operational for the duration of the closure. Service delivery, however, will not be hampered.

The Community Service Centre will now be operated from the Tonga SAPS married quarters, next to the police station.

The public may call 082-448-9481 to contact the station for all emergencies and complaints to be attended to accordingly. The station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka, may also be contacted at 082-970-5756.

The station building will be decontaminated and its services will resume normally from Friday July 10.

Mpumalanga SAPS apologised for any inconvenience.
