Police station relocates after member tests positive for Covid-19

Posted in News by Admin on 6 July, 2020 at 11:57 a.m.

AMERSFOORT - Communities serviced by the local police station are advised that it will be temporarily closed due to one of its members having tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus yesterday.

The Community Service Centre will now be operated from the Amersfoort Town Hall in Sybrandt van Niekerk Str, near the police station.

The telephone lines at the Amersfoort Police Station’s Community Service Centre will not be operational for the duration of the closure. Service delivery, however, will not be hampered.

To contact the station, the community may call 076-459-0120 for all emergencies and complaints to be attended to accordingly. The station commander, Capt Delisile Thwala, can also be contacted at 082-370-0930.

The station building will be decontaminated and services will resume there normally from Wednesday July 8.

The Mpumalanga SAPS apologised for any inconvenience.
