Coronavirus case forces police station to set up operations elsewhere

Posted in News by Admin on 6 July, 2020 at 9:12 a.m.

SUNDRA - The local police station recently advised the surrounding communities that it will be temporarily closed due to one member having tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus on July 4.

The Community Service Centre will now be operated at the NG Kerk, on the corner of Witbank Rd and Rennie Ave, not far from the police station for convenience.

The telephone lines at the Sundra Police Station’s Community Service Centre will not be in operation for the duration of the closure; however, service delivery will not be hampered.

Community members may contact the station at 082-923-1187 for all emergencies and complaints to be attended to accordingly. The station commander, Capt Linky Olckers, may also be contacted at 082-370-0921.

The station building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally from Wednesday July 8.

The Mpumalanga SAPS apologised for any inconvenience.
