MBOMBELA – Three of the four suspects who were arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder of 13-year-old Gabisile Shabane, as well as the 15 month-old Nkosikhona Ngwenya - who both had albinism, were denied bail in the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on April 16.

Police had previously reported that the suspects had broken into a house in Vosman on Sunday, January 28, 2018, and kidnapped the two children. A manhunt for the suspects and a search to locate the children were launched, which led to the arrests and the recovery of the victim’s bodies.

The suspects, Thulani Thobela (26), Donie Cavin Boshielo (22) and Mthobisi Brilliant Mkhize (26), are scheduled to appear again at the same court on June 1, 2018, together with a fourth suspect, Thokozani Msibi (32), who was also denied bail last month.
