On Sunday at approximately 04:00, three people died when a bakkie and sedan collided head on. The accident occurred on the road between Karino and Tekwane South. Two of the deceased were the driver of the bakkie and one of the passengers, while the third person was the sole occupant of the sedan. Five people were injured and are currently receiving medical attention at Rob Ferreira Hospital in Mbombela.
