Farm attackers make off with firearms and ammunition
WHITE RIVER - Police are looking for two suspects who attacked a couple on a farm in White River. The suspects made off with a vehicle, firearms, ammunition and a telescope.
The attack took place on Saturday, December 2, at approximately 11:00 when the husband and the wife were returning from town.
According to information at police disposal the suspects appeared as if out of nowhere. The couple were held at gunpoint before being tied up. The duo took the woman into the house where they reportedly broke open the safe door and took the following firearms: Four 38 special revolvers with 25 rounds, a .303 hunting rifle with 40 rounds, .410 shotgun, 12 gage shotgun, .22 rifle and a telescope.
In the meantime, the husband who was left outside, managed to untie himself. He ran to the road for assistance where he then called a security company. The suspects are reported to have attempted stealing a Nissan 14, but were unsuccessful. They managed to fled the scene in the couple's silver Mercedes-Benz, Registration number FNG 547 MP.
A .38 special revolver was found at the gate.
