Child presumably abducted
BARBERTON - A female child, presumably blonde, was apparently abducted from Laerskool Barberton Primary at approximately 12:40 today.
The incident was reported to the school's office by two pupils.
They said they witnessed a male of African descent abducting the child. According to them the man has put her in the back of the car, presumably the trunk. They said he was wearing a blue striped shirt and black trousers and drove a blue Volkswagen Polo.
At the time of this press release no parents / guardians have enquired about a child.

15:42 UPDATE: Africa InTouch News spoke to principal of Laerskool Barberton Primary Mr Robert Naude. No child has yet been reported as missing. They are currently contacting the parents with female children attending the school.
Grade 1 & 2 pupils are all accounted for. They will continue making contact with the parents of female children in each grade.
17:05 UPDATE: Grade 1, 2, 3 & 4 pupils are all accounted for. They will continue making contact with the parents of female children in the remaining grades.
18:08 UPDATE: Africa InTouch News spoke to principal of Laerskool Barberton Primary Mr Robert Naude. It was decided to stop the telephonic inquiries after contacting the Grade 5 parents.
The Barberton SAPS continue to investigate.
Monday - UPDATE: Principal of Barberton Primary, Robert Naudé, said “I believe the children has seen someone, a parent or a guardian, pick a child up from school and interpreted it incorrectly, however, they reported it for all the right reasons.”
