Mmametlhake - Three housebreaking suspects aged between 26 and 28, are due to appear before the Mbibane Magistrate’s Court in Vaalbank today, after they were busted in possession of suspected stolen property.

The trio, driving in a red Nissan 1400 bakkie with a trailer, were busted by police who were executing stop and search operations. The police discovered that the bakkie and the trailer were loaded with four quad bikes, bed set, refrigerator, lawn mower, electric appliances and other items.

A short probe by police uncovered that there was a burglary that took place in Marapyane near Mmametlhake, where the same items were stolen as those loaded on the bakkie. They then did not hesitate to detain the suspects for possession of suspected stolen property as well as housebreaking and theft.

The management of the SAPS in the province urge the community to reject and report stolen property as it increases the rate of crime and creates a market for stolen property in the society.
