Louisa's Upholstery going back to its roots

BARBERTON - There is a saying that man is truly blessed when he can combine his job with his passion.
This is exactly what Louisa Mills managed to do, although this was also born out of necessity.

A few years ago Louisa was in dire need of work after the business where she was employed,  had closed its doors. She said that she always had a special love for upholstery and one day her husband, Vic, urgently needed someone to replace the hood lining of a vehicle. Louisa didn't think twice. After having completed the task, the principal of the dealership where Vic is employed, remarked that it was one of the best jobs he had ever seen.

This signalled the birth of Louisa's Upholstery and the business had gone from strength to strength over the past few years.
"Within a short time my whole house had been converted into a workshop but I knew it had to stop," she said, amused.

Louisa then decided to move the workshop into town and occupied the premises where Barberton Times used to be in 72 Crown Street for close to three months. At the end of September however, she decided to move her workshop back home.

"I have tried the whole 'CBD'-thing and it just didn't work for me," she said.

She wants to invite her clients, existing and prospective, to pay her a visit at 6 Gospel Street or phone her for a quotation.

Recently Louisa had also started with embroidery. She invites businesses to approach her for their corporate wear needs. "We do it all - from one shirt to 1 000, so do give us a try or phone us for a free quotation."

Louisa's Upholstery offers the following services:
- Any and all upholstery
- Canvassing
- Embroidery
- Hood linings & motor-vehicle trimmings
- Tablecloths, place mats, curtains and much, much more!
