NELSPRUIT - The police are looking for three suspects who robbed a senior citizen of various items estimated to the value of R416 000 yesterday.  According to information at their disposal, a 63 year-old man and his employee was working in the field at his smallholding, Sterkspruit, in Ngodwana when the incident occured.

At about 10:00 the employee asked to go to the toilet. When he took longer than expected the complainant decided to go in search of him. He knocked on the door without any success and decided to open it, whereupon he was knocked down, chocked and tied with wires. Later he managed to untie himself and open the toilet door where he found his employee also tied up.

They went to check on the main house where they noticed that the safe was open and seven firearms (including an airgun) were missing  from the safe. Also missing were the following items: a Camera, wrist watch, laptop and a cellphone.  His vehicle, a Nissan Juke, was also missing. It was later found abandoned between Sabie and White River.

Police are requesting anyone with information that can assist in the investigation of this case to contact Detective Sergeant Vusi Khoza on 082-448-9217 or the SAPS Crime Stop no 086-001-0111.
