Police seize crayfish worth R6 mill

WESTERN CAPE - The Grabouw police seized crayfish worth an estimated street value of R6,5 mill on Friday, in an intelligence-driven operation.

The police were informed of a vehicle that was travelling on the N2, transporting crayfish. They spotted the vehicle and stopped it. A search was conducted in which 12 807 crayfish tails and 377 whole crayfish were seized.

Two men, aged 43 and 50, were arrested and will appear in court on Monday.
