Police launch search for murderer and missing teacher
MBOMBELA - Police are looking for the murderer/s of a 13-year-old girl, Dimpho Sinenhlanhla Malevu from Wesselton in Ermelo. They are also searching for a missing teacher, 44 -year-old Kevin Chitapaza from Calcutta near Hazyview.
Dimpho was reported missing on Saturday, July 28, by her mother after she had gone to a shop and failed to return home. A search for her was immediately launched. However, her lifeless body was discovered by a passer-by on Tuesday, July 31 in bushes near the Ermelo Airfield. A preliminary investigation indicated that she might have been strangled to death and possibly raped, but a post-mortem to confirm the cause of death still have to be conducted.
Meanwhile, police have launched a search for Chitapaza, a teacher at Madzuma Secondary School in Calcutta, who was last seen on July 20. He was wearing a blue denim, blue jacket, check shirt, white sneakers and a black beanie with the words “Bob Marley” at the time of his disappearance.
