Accused appear in court for SARS fraud

MBOMBELA - Former Director of Vinoja Trading, Debby Robert Ngomane (49), appeared before the Nelspruit Magistrate`s Court on April 12 on a charge of fraud.

Between 2010 - 2013  Ngomane submitted fraudulent invoices to SARS to evade tax payment after his company received contract or tender from the Department of Health for R4 000 000.
SARS suffered a loss of R500 000 due to the submission of the fraudulent invoices. 

The accused was served with a notice to appear before court and the case was postponed to May 10 for further investigation.
